Membership Eligibility Requirements

World War I - April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918
World War II - December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946
Korean War - June 25, 1950 to January 31, 1955
Vietnam War - February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975
Lebanon/Grenada - August 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984
Panama - December 20, 1989 to January 31, 1990
Persian Gulf - August 2, 1990 - closing date to be determined

 Big Lake Post 147 annual dues are $35.00.  Membership runs July 1 to June 30 of each year.

 The American Legion Auxiliary

 The women of the American Legion Auxiliary make a difference in the lives of all Americans.  The Auxiliary is the world’s largest women’s patriotic service organization.  Members are a unique group of women, joined in the fellowship of volunteerism, patriotism and dedication to veterans, young people and communities.

MembershipEligibility

 * A woman who is eligible for membership in the American Legion is also eligible to join the American Legion Auxiliary.

*The mother, wife, daughter, sister, grand-daughter, great grand-daughter or grandmother of members of the American Legion and deceased veterans who served in the Unite States Armed Forces during the listed war eras.

*Step relatives are also eligible.
